Changes to Template propogated to instances of that template

I saw this message for the first time on a template I created a while back and am hoping to get more details:

“This board is a standard template. Changes made here will be applied to all future boards created from this template”

Which of the following are true?:

  1. A change to the title of the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board
  2. A change to Group names of the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board
  3. An addition / deletion of columns in the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board
  4. A change to a column description or type conversion of the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board
  5. A change to item content (name, timeline, etc.) of the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board
  6. A change to subitem content of the template board will be pushed to instances of that template board

Is this change propagation one-directional or are any of the above true as well in the opposite direction (A change to … of an instance board will be pushed to the template board)?

hi @hmagee

All of the above is true. But read carefully what is showing in that bar “…will be applied to all future boards created…”. When you change the template later on, existing boards created from the template will not be changed. Changes made to a board are not pushed back to the template board.
