Back in September, I discovered a new feature in WorkForms that gave the ability to include a Connect Board column in the form (similar to the People column). This feature was amazing. It seems like this field functionality is gone. Does anyone know what happened to it, and if it’s coming back soon? I realize it was a Trial/Beta feature.
Apologies for any confusion caused here! This feature is currently in beta mode, which might explain why you previously had access. Not to worry, this feature is definitely not going anywhere - our team expect that it will be released to monday.labs in our next iteration, so please stay tuned
In the meantime, since this feature is not yet stable in WorkFomrs, you are more than welcome to try out our monday form builder app, Easyform, which supports Connected Boards questions, allowing you to show the items of Board B as options in a dropdown question in a Board A form:
Other features of our connected boards column are
Limiting selection to a single item
Displaying items from multiple connected boards
Limiting select options to items from specific boards where a column is connected to multiple boards
Pro plan feature - item default values support - set default values for connected board columns that are hidden in the form.
In addition to that, we offer:
Upload files to your board’s file columns, with support for:
Allowing only specific file types, such as images or pdf
Limiting the number of files that can be uploaded
Setting a maximum for file size
Manually retrying uploads if some or all of them failed
Set default values for the response item’s hidden group, status, connected board, and dropdown columns. To do so, select Item default values from the Settings menu.
Add the item’s group as just another field to the form.
Control the page’s top margin with the ability to set different values for desktop and mobile. To do so, select Page from the Settings menu.
If you’re interested in creating styled forms that better match your brand and embed perfectly on your web page, you can check out our Monday.com app Easyform and our extensive documentation site.
Hi @adinap , I didn’t know this was even a beta feature, so I am excited for it to come back LOL. Having said that, I had the same need and created a workaround using the existing functions, without other apps.
To do this, I used the match automation. If you are only expecting the submitter to link to 1 board, this could work for you too.
Basically, on the form, we ask the submitter to paste in the item name of the related ticket, and then the match automation links them up on the forms board and mirrors a heap of fields.
