Hi @Ori11,
Welcome to monday community!
I’m not aware of any native monday.com workaround that allows you to sync or copy subitems across multiple boards.
What we use instead is a marketplace app called Same Item Multiple Boards. It creates same items (including subitems) across multiple boards and keeps them in sync, which works well for this kind of setup.
Hello @Ori11 Subitems are always tied to their parent item, so there isn’t a simple “copy or sync subitems” option across multiple boards.
The easiest workaround is to duplicate the parent item including its subitems into the other boards.

Hi @Ori11
You can do this using Make.
Since the boards contain the same items but the subitems belong to different parent items, native features won’t reliably copy or sync subitems across boards — especially when the same subitem names exist under multiple parents. Monday treats each subitem as unique to its parent item, so a direct copy/sync isn’t available.
Here’s how you can handle it:
-
Make watches the board where you updated the subitems.
-
When a subitem is created or updated, Make identifies its parent item.
-
It then finds the matching parent item on the other boards.
-
After that, Make automatically creates or updates the corresponding subitem under the correct parent item on those boards.
This way you’re not just copying text — you’re syncing the structure (parent item → correct subitems), and duplicates are avoided even if subitems have the same names.

Hi @Ori11
We developed an app called subitem automations that provides robust automation capabilities to subitems. Here’s an example of how it can be applied in this case →
The app has 24K+ installs with an average rating of 4.9/5, and it’s become the leading solution for everything related to automating subitems.
You can find it in the monday.com marketplace in the platform or here - https://monday.com/marketplace/10000287
Hope that helps and if any capability is missing in order to meet your use case. Feel free to send me an email at hello@fantasymedia.io
