Creating new items with form - automating moving item to group by status selected in form

Hello -

I currently have a board set up that captures data from a form to create new items. I would like it to automaiclally send new items to the appropriate group in the board based on a status that is selected in the form. Currently the only options to do this are when the status is changed…but not created. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
