When an action triggers a notification, don’t notify the person who triggered the action. It should just be a checkbox in notification settings: “Don’t notify me of actions I made.”
Otherwise it could be an option in automations: When [Column] changes to [Status] notify [Roles][Excluding the user who chanted the status].
