Email tracking mixing Lead/Projects emails

Hello,

We have customers that have multiple projects/leads running at the same time, the problem is with the email tracking. Every email appears in all the projects of that customer, so that makes a complete mess.

I tried with the “Activities Filter” and “Item Related” but doesn’t work.

Is there any way or praxis, when I send an email that I need to do to receive the correct email in a specific project or lead?

Regards,

Hey Phil!

Charlotte here! Happy to help out with this!

Have you tried using the “sent from this item” filter?

This filter was developed to replace the item-related activities filter.

This filter allow users to filter threads specific to that item only.* Meaning, if I have two items with the same email in the email column, using the “sent from this item” filter, I would be able to filter conversations that belong only to that item.

In order for this to work, you’ll have to respond to or initiate an email from within Emails and Activities. Whether it is the initial email or a reply, once this has been done from E+A, the entire thread will be included in the filter (including CC and BCC responses).

What do you think about this? I know you mentioned you used the other filters but let me know if this one might be a better fit.

Hi Charlotte,

Thank you for your reply.

I will try with new projects, the problem is with the current projects, E+A just picked all the emails and put them on the incorrect projects, and if you filter it, all the emails disappear. So, or you have all the emails (including the incorrect ones) or you don’t have anything.

Hello Charlotte,

Can you confirm this functionality should still work as you described?

As it seems like there is a bug with the „sent from this item“ filter, causing all Emails from related contacts or email columns to appear.
