My organization is slowly adapting to Monday.com, so some of the different best practices we’ve implemented are being used inconsistently.
One way we use Monday is as a social programming calendar, and we follow this basic naming structure for new pulses:
Media Type | Campaign | Asset Name
I wonder if there could be a ‘find and replace’ feature, similar to Ctrl + F, that allows us to correct the naming structure when used incorrectly across a number of pulses at once.
It would be nice to have Monday.com integrate search & replace functionality directly into the application. I have viewed the search tutorials and features in the application. I would like to perform a search and replace function and cannot find how to do this within the application vs a 3rd party application since I feel that this is basic functionality. For example, I would like to search for a string of text on a board and replace the text with something different. I frequently duplicate boards for different projects and want to simply change some repetitive text. I contacted Monday.com support who advised that this feature is not available. " While we do not support that functionality at this time, our product team is eager for this kind of feedback to include in their discussions for future improvement. These product ideas and feedback can be submitted directly to our Monday.com community" Please upvote if you feel the need for this feature.
The link is dead but the app exists, you just have to look for it in the apps marketplace. I just used it to make 120 2023s a 2024! I had to update my groups myself though but there were only 12 to do vs the 120! I’m ok with that.
Just wondering if there is any update on this? We frequently build boards by duplicating templates and need to update the same text multiple times. An in-board ‘find and replace’ feature would be a huge timesaver and seems like basic functionality. Would be good to hear from the Monday.com support team to hear more about when we can expect this.
Hey folks! Nikola here, from Spicytab! We recently launched our Find and Replace app, that has options to find and replace particular value, as well as use monday.com filters to filter the items down and update them et-mass.
I agree; this would be very useful as a Monday.com built-in function. It does seem like a pretty basic feature, not something that should require the installation of a third party app with an additional charge.
Note for Monday.com reps: May Enterprise customers won’t allow their users to utilize third party apps due to security concerns. And asking users to install yet another app in response to every single feature request adds up to multiple additional monthly charges and very quickly becomes untenable.
