I am using a Monday.com board to maintain my client data, and one of the columns contains a link field. For example, I have a Google Forms link like this:
When sending emails through Monday.com’s Gmail automation, the email currently includes the full URL instead of displaying the hyperlink as formatted text. This makes the email look cluttered with long, unformatted URLs.
Is there a way to format hyperlinks in Gmail automation so that only the display text appears as a clickable link? Ideally, I would like to send the email with the hyperlink displayed as:

Hello Timothy, Yes! Monday.com’s Gmail automation currently does not automatically format links as clickable text when pulling them from a Link column. However, can you try and format your email using HTML to display a hyperlink with custom text?

Instead of inserting the raw {Link Column} value, format it as an HTML link in your automation setup.

Another eaiser to use option, is using Supermail, a native monday add-on that allows use of hyper links.
On top of that you can design your automated emails with rich text, include attachments, sub items, images and even button that will trigger a status change.
Hi Clare! I’ve successfully used the html coding to add a hyperlink into a Form question description, however when I used it in an email automation, it didn’t work. See image below to how the email came in for me. Do you know of another solution?
HTML formatting in email automations only works if you have the Monday CRM product. Monday is greedy and did not release this very useful feature to Monday Work Management users.
To send an HTML email, you’ll need to either find an app in the Monday app store (I have not found a good one I like yet) or use a third-party integration like Make.com or Zapier. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
I don’t have the CRM product, but I have read the documentation. It sound like it is not working properly for you. I would suggest contacting Monday Support. Best of luck!
