#group-by - dropdown columns

Hi!

Just starting to use the group-by feature and here are my team’s first impressions:

  • Enhancing the group-by feature to include dropdown type column grouping, so far this column type is excluded, if I am not mistaken!
  • Additionally, enabling a type-ahead functionality within the group-by dropdown menu would streamline the process, especially for boards with a large number of columns. This would not only improve navigation but also make the selection process much more efficient.

Totally agree! I’m surprised you can group by a text field, but not by a ‘Dropdown’ field.

+1. I think you can now group by dropdown as long as you only have one selection in the column for each item (which sort of defeats the dropdown type effect). I’m coming from Airtable and this is one of the biggest bummers for me because I have quite a few columns with multi-select options needed.
