Please add the possibility to Hide the Main Table view for normal users, or make is unselectable for normal users. My users simply get really confused when they for some reason select the Main Table view … and that results in a lot of calls and emails asking … what the f(/$&&% is going on …
Apart from that … there is also the fact that the Main Table view may contain stuff that we do not want normal users to see.
Users see “Main Table” and think that’s where they are supposed to be. For some reason, we can’t rename it, we can’t hide it, and we can’t add saved sorts, saved filters, or choose whether to hide certain columns. Its only purpose seems to be acting as the “full database” of the board and that is not something regular users need to see. It just creates confusion.
+1 for the idea to let us hide the Main Table view. Or, at least allow us the same options as any other table view.
100% agreed! We have the same usecase – the Main Table is the “full database” but no one team will ever need to see the entire database. Each team has their own view, and having the Main Table visible to them causes confusion.
Being able to hide (for normal users), rename, or change the order of the views would be great!
Soo frustrating… Every time I make progress on what I actually want to do, I run into stupid limitations like this. I don’t think there’s a way around this one. Monday is really customizable, but at the same time it’s not AT ALL
I agree. The ability for other views is great but users still tend to go to the main view (and mess it up) even if you made another view first in line. Would love it if monday could enable us to lock down the main view!
Upvoting as well. Why is this not a basic feature? I’m happy that we can make other views our “main” view now, but why can’t we hide or rename THAT view? Surely is confusing if the “main view” tab is not the main view.
Kind of makes the view tabs somewhat unusable for a team. A PM or ops person can figure this out if they’re in Monday.com all day but I need this to be crystal clear to everyone.
Bump on this also please, we have a number of different views and all of our configuration sits within the Main table and we do not want users to access this area, only our admins.
Bump on this. We’re evaluating the enterprise plan and ability to control this is extremely important for our customer-facing teams.
The risk of them editing core customer data tables (via main-tables) is far too great. It should be a simple ‘hide view’ button. Most CRMs have this functionality.
