Our company really needs this filter. We have to share live updates with all 15 of our customers so that they can track production timelines and tracking. We do not want them to be able to see who else we are doing business with. The “shareable” link does not work for this option because it seems to refresh every 15 seconds and does not allow them to search or interact with product lines. The main table being able to be hidden would help since we could give our customers guest access to view only items they are assigned to. Right now the main table just hides the task but not the customer names since they are groups.
Any update to the timeline on this? This along with hiding views in general is a critical feature that has been requested for years.
Hi everyone! Amy here from the monday.com team Thank you so much for your patience and for continuing to share your feedback around hiding the Main Table view feature.
We wanted to share a quick update: this request is still strongly under consideration for the second half of the year, and your feedback continues to play a big role in those discussions. Other priorities (like the subitem under subitem request with almost 600 votes) took precedence earlier this year, but we’re excited to keep pushing this forward.
We really appreciate your input, it helps us prioritize what matters most to you! We’ll be sure to keep you updated as things progress!
Good to know there’s progress. I’ll note though that there are numerous threads requesting this, so the total number of votes is much higher. And Monday often closes threads when the actual feature request is only partially implemented, such as the “Lock views” request which had 372 votes and was closed without the main table view being included in the solution, despite the loud comments focusing on this.
Hello there, would it include the ability to hide any view or just the main board view? I really hope it is any view because it would enable us to have multiple dev views and juste 1 or 2 views for the end user per board.
It’s nice to learn this is pending implementation
As it stands, the “Main table” is a close contender for being the main annoyance in the many Monday.com usability issues I face each day.
Context (which I am sure mirrors that of many other Monday customers) — None of our members need nor want to see that table, except me (the one doing the CRM development / maintenance). Yet all members see it, inadvertently end up on it, and ask what it’s for, etc. It has a LOT of columns they don’t require nor understand.
I look forward to the day the Main table can be demoted to a background (and ideally hidden) table.
