I’m looking to set the first column to a unique item ID, but there doesn’t seem to be that option. I can make any other column a unique item ID except the first–but the first is where it’s the most important, right? Can someone point me in the right direction?

This can be done with this app https://monday.com/marketplace/17. Below is the recipe for it.
It overwrite the leftmost column with the generated ID when a new item is created.
