I have a simple procedure, and should be easy. My inventory is one item, what i am looking to do is update my inventory board total every time a new order is placed in my order form/board.
I have tried a few things, but alas nothing that works… yes I am a novice, yes I put up a request in fiverr and paid someone to not complete this task… so please take pity on a start up with no budget and point me in the right direction
Hi Bryan, yes you can do this by using match automations. I have set up two boards to do exactly this - please see screenshots below.
Apologies, looks like the screenshots uploaded a bit wonky. I have one board “Order requests” and another board “Inventory Stats.” “Order Requests” has an automation as follows:
When status “Ready to Ship” changes, connect the item where status “Inventory” matches status “Inventory” in “Inventory Stats” by adding new matched item.
Once the connection has been made, the formula in “Inventory Stats” subtracts the number of ordered items from the number of items originally stocked. Hope that helps!
