Import from OneDrive/Excel Online

I see that Google Sheets is a viable cloud source to import from. Can we get this expanded to Excel Online/OneDrive?

  • Tell us your use case. How do you and your team already use ? Be specific if possible to give us the complete picture.
I often find myself wanting to import items that are already in the cloud. For example, if someone emails me a spreadsheet to import into Monday, the best way for me to do this would be to ‘Save to OneDrive’, potentially edit it a bit, and then directly feed it into Monday.

  • Frame the feature request/feedback in context with your pain point and what you want to achieve. The better we can understand how it fits into your workflow, the easier it is for us to prioritize in our Voice of Customer process.
Pain point: needing to download a spreadsheet just to re-upload it to Monday

  • Help us understand the impact this is having on your team; is this having a critical impact that’s affecting your team’s productivity? Is this causing roadblocks in adopting as your main work tool?
It’s mostly frustrating working at a company that uses the Microsoft ecosystem instead of Google b/c this is possible w/ Google Sheets.

  • List any workarounds you may have tried and to what degree this is solving the issue for you.
Workaround: download, edit, upload to Monday, THEN: remember to delete file on my comp

Hey @eskufca!

Ivan here from the team!

That is an excellent piece of feedback and it definitely would make sense to be able to import directly from Excel Online as well as OneDrive. I can hear how having to download the Excel file and then re-importing it is a bit redundant, so I’d love to pass this along to our product team for their review and consideration!
