Hi, the csv file is utf-8 format, and the content is Chinese characters “自定义”.
Is there any workaround?
Thanks.
Hey @Xuan,
Thank you for flagging this.
From my understanding the file must be csv-utf8 in order for the symbols to import correctly. I understand this is the file type that you’re currently using so this sounds a little strange… Can I ask if other users in the account are experiencing the same issues?
I’m still in trial so no other users in the account yet.
Just tried with a minimal csv with a line:
key1,值
The second step of importing shows encoding issue already:
Thank you for sharing this with me!
Would you be happy to send me a private message incase I need to escalate this to our technical team? If possible, it would be great if you could send over the file you’re importing (or a test file with some Chinese characters), so I can test this in my account
I could send the file but I’m afraid I don’t find where to send a private message. The file was one line csv with content I posted above.
Reaching out to you!

I confirm that the problem exists. I am currently testing the file I downloaded from Pipedrive. Everything works fine in Salesmate, but Cyrillic characters are not recognized in Monday. The problem is on your side, as the file is uploaded with the correct UTF-8 encoding.
Proof:
➜ file --mime-encoding people-21479994-2.csv
people-21479994-2.csv: utf-8
