Importing Jira tickets and updates with Integration

I imported my tickets for a project from Jira to Monday and setup an integration between the two platforms. On updates in Jira, I’m getting new tasks created for the same ticket I imported from Jira and end up with duplicate tickets. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I did import the Jira Issue and key to Monday, but for some reason they don’t seem to be in synch. Once I delete the old issue when an update comes in, I’m in synch at that moment on for the ticket. Any advice?
