Is there a way to have subitems impact the progress tracking column for main items? Without creating a new "summary of subitems" column?

Hey @jarrod.hogan24 - not sure if it makes sense for your design, however an option could be to add a Progress tracking column to the subitems, then create the parent summary of that column?
