I need to be able to display a google calendar in monday.com but do not want to set the gCal settings to “public” which seems to be a requirement to using the calendar display widget. Does anyone have a workaround for this? I don’t want all my client meeting details pubic for the world, but I need my monday.com team to be able to view it.
Yes there is a way for this.
-
Make sure you embed the public url under the section ‘Intergrate Calendar’ in the calendar settings menu. (This URL only displays the calendar)
-
Then under shared with section in the calendar settings you can manually add who you want this calendar to be shared with. This can control who can see events in your calendar. This step is tricky since the added email must be the email that the user uses to log into the browser.
- If any one access the calendar whom you haven’t given access to they will get a warning when they view the calendar and will not display any events.
This is fully supported with Calendar Pro if you wish to have a calendar app to embed multiple calendars at ones with in monday for a flat fee.
Hope this addresses your issue!
