I’ve updated the default in my Items on my board to default to Emails & Activities rather than Updates. The issue is that this default is not working and it still opening directly to the Update tab. This is a pretty big issue for me as I’m working to get my team to not use Updates and rather use Emails & Activities instead to better track all activities.
Hi Peter! Shannon here with the monday team. For additional context, is your team using the Emails & Activities feature on the Work Management product? I ask as Emails & Activities appears within the default item view, under “Overview,” on the CRM product.
I replicated converting Emails & Activities to the default item view on Work Management in my demo account. However, after making this change, opening up the item page for any item led me directly to Emails & Activities. This sounds like buggy behavior to me.
If you’re using a web browser for monday, I recommend clearing your cache history and refreshing your tab. This will ensure that the local data for your current web browser window is not impacting platform performance. If this troubleshooting step does not help, I recommend emailing us at support@monday.com or opening a live chat to help escalate your case to our Technical team for further investigation on the backend. Sharing visual context of this behavior will be helpful for the Technical team as well!
