Hi, I’m new to Monday.com so not sure if this is something that is possible and I’m not really sure how to go about it.
I have a board that is used by about 10 people within my group. Sometimes when we send our alerts/updates, we refer to data from a particular column. The alert will go out to people in my organization who do not access this board on a daily basis.
I would like to create/duplicate/link another board that is a copy of my original board but in this board, I only want to show 2-3 column data from the original board. I’d like to have this new board automatically update whenever the original board is modified. I want people outside of my group to access this board and not the original since they are only interested in information from 1-2 columns.
I’ve tried one of the automations of having a status change and then creating and item and then linking it, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. In addition, the original item name does not translate to the duplicated board. The whole idea is for someone to access this board and only see those columns that are associated with certain item IDs.
I know that I can create a filter in the original view and save it as a “view” but I already have about 10 views in the original and it just becomes very cumbersome since so many people already have access to the board
