I’ve noticed a lot of questions about using mirror columns as triggers for automations, which got me a bit confused because I use them all the time without any issues
I thought it might be helpful to share that mirrored statuses can indeed be triggers, you are only 1 search term away from them! When searching for “mirror” in the templates or while building an automation, it returns an empty search result. See below:
When doing the automation from scratch & searching for “mirror” it does not appear:

BUT if you search for “280”(???), voilà:
I don’t understand why this is the case, but I know that this automation is the backbone of my boards and without it it would be IMPOSSIBLE to achieve my use case (from what I’ve tried and tried and tried!). I feel that a lot of people are missing just this exact automation from doing their use cases. I’m happy to share the use case in another post, once it’s perfected (soon!)
