Mirror status column automations

I would like to suggest the ability to automate for status columns.
Two use case scenarios, but I am sure there are other roadblock scenarios:

1. When mirrored status column changes to [insert status name], move item to group B.

2. Boards A, B & C are connected.
   On board B, when a mirrored column S changes status to X, create a new item in board C and connect mirrored column S with all 3 boards.

I’ve noticed a lot of questions about using mirror columns as triggers for automations, which got me a bit confused because I use them all the time without any issues I thought it might be helpful to share that mirrored statuses can indeed be triggers, you are only 1 search term away from them! As for the 2nd scenario, you could use this mirrored status to show a specific status [strictly for automation purposes], the board B would see this status and trigger another automation which connects all boards A & C with B, and then change back the status to whatever it is you wish it to be showing as.

For example:
In our case we manage engineers and in-field services. In our masterboard we have multiple services but in each engineers board you have only their own services. Sometimes we want to reassign engineers, or reset the data in both boards. I set up a Status column called [AUTOMATION STATUS] which is basically keyword/commands for the Engineers board’s automations to pick up and either delete the item or duplicate or connect to other boards etc. All because of this mirrored column status as a trigger:

Hi @alakkotrypis , thank you so much for sharing! While this is definitely very useful information, I do not think it addresses any of the points @Katelynn is requesting. I am in particular interested in the first one ( 1. When mirrored status column changes to [insert status name], move item to group B.)and I could not find this as a pre-built recipe. Have you?
Also, IDK if something is off with my license, but the recipe has some generic ‘status’ column and not my mirror column… and as a result, the status are also some defualt comnday.com statuses that have nothing to do with my mirror column is set up. Any insight into this?

Try searching 280 in the recipes, if there is no Mirrors tab in the categories:

Here all the triggers are mirrored columns:

Before the tab, you had to search for 280 to get this:

As for your issue I don’t know why it wouldn’t show the statuses of the column. Maybe it’s not even the mirrored column being selected or could be a bug and requires a refresh. Hope you find a solution!
