I would like to move items from one board to another, say from board A to board B, but the column types aren’t the same. In the origin board (A) we have the text- or dropdown-type (due to a connection with a form tooling, Jotform, that can’t work with the status column), and in the target board (B) it should be the status-type, due to the fact that I want to use automations that move items to other boards based on that specific column when a new item is created.
Does anyone know how to achieve this? Is there a workaround?
Hey @Monique.SWG! The best thing to do here would be to add the same column types to Board B but if you don’t want to see them, you can collapse the extra columns. Just having the matching column types is what’s necessary to move items’ information over successfully.
