I have a board which has multiple inputs on a daily basis all tag with the date of input. Is there a way to set an automation to run on every Wednesday at a given time to move the items with a specific status to a new board regardless of the date they was inputted?

You can use a sequence of automations to support this for you. First, get something in place to nominate the date and label the day of the week - we used a date column and a status column. Set up a loop of 7 automations (one for each day of the week) as below:
Then, set up your real intention with an executive automation such as:
