Notification Settings and automations to notify someone

I cannot find anywhere that explains in detail the consequences of each of the notification restriction options found in profile settings.

I have an automation to notify Person A when status changes to a particular selection.
However, Person A is telling me they aren’t receiving any notification. I have a couple questions on this:

  1. Can Person A set up notification restrictions that would disable this automation notification of reaching them?
  2. Does the automation “Notify Person A” OVERRIDE any restrictions Person A has set up on their account?

Good question!

I’m not sure about 2. but I think 1. is a yes and what you’re describing sounds like it might be solved with checking the individual’s notification settings in their profile/account. See if you can double check them together and trigger an automation to test it.

Otherwise, I’d suggest reaching out to support@monday.com for that one.
