I know that I’ve seen multiple issues on this, but there are so many, so I’m hoping I can get a direct response, as I have not seen a scenario that matches mine.
I have a Board that connects to another Board, and I have mirrored the People Column.
I want to create an automation to notify the person in the mirrored People column, when a due date has passed.
But, I see that others have issues with this.
Does anyone have any workarounds or other solutions for this?

Yea, that’s a limitation currently. A workaround I have - I have an automation that when a deal is marked ‘won’, an item is created on board 2 and they’re ‘connected’. As part of that automation, I also have it pull the ‘people’ column to Board 2. In our instance that people column doesn’t change, so this works for us.

I appreciate your workaround, and I can see how that works.
However, I’m not sure if it would work for me, as the main board (1) is separate from this Board (2) and the only connection we make from Board 1 to Board 2 is the company name, and then we mirror their Company ID # and the staff member assigned after we create a new item in Board 2.
We don’t have a ‘status’ in Board 1 where we can automate adding a new item in Board 2, where we could then automate bringing in the staff member. Board 2 is more for tracking the location of a document as it goes through the process.
I am still fairly new to Monday.com and learning the structures of it. I have created my own boards and they are setup similar to your workaround to create a new item and it brings in the staff member directly, as opposed to a mirror of the staff member.
