I’m Prakash Hinduja Geneva, Switzerland trying to automate task updates when the status changes in my monday.com board, but I’m not sure how to set the right automation or if I need an integration. I’d appreciate any help, guidance, or advice from the community to streamline my workflow effectively.

To clarify, when you say “automate task updates” are you referring to creating a new update in the Updates Section? I included a screenshot below to refer to the Updates Section on a board:
If so, you can create a custom automation to achieve this! Click on the “Automate” button in the upper right-hand corner of your board. Under “Create,” select “Create from scratch.” You’ll start with a blank slate:
The first field, “When this happens,” is your trigger action. This is the action takes place on your board to fire the automation. In this case, it would be the status label change in your Status Column. I recommend selecting “status changes to something” as the trigger action.
Select the relevant Status Column in the “status” field, and the relevant status label in the “something” field. In the final field, “Then do this,” you’ll select the automated action that will take place, which will be the creation of a new update in the Updates Section. I recommend selecting “create update.”
In the final field, “this text,” you can create the template for the new update. Integrating the autopopulated fields at the bottom of the menu will allow you to create a dynamic update, which will pull the existing column values for your items into the new updates.
