You would need to configure this in Monday.com by creating a custom automation that triggers when an item’s status changes to “In Progress.”
Basically add a status column called “Type” (or any name you prefer) and then set up a custom automation where the condition is based on the change of status to “In Progress.”

You can use one of the automation templates! Each automation has a trigger , condition , and action . In your case, it might look something like this:
- Trigger : When status changes to “In Progress”
- Action : Assign to person
