Hello! We’re having some feedbacks about the print section on monday.com
I understand and already like the real-time print screen… but now we need to present a professional report on PDF.
Things that need to be improved:
Gantt date range ( all dates or custom date range " start to end " )
Paper size ( A4, A3… many gantt charts have long timelines… the scale for A4 papers don’t fit nicely)
Paper and prints are still alive. , Gantt chart are key in the building industry, in architecture/urban planning, in all sorts of long term planning to name the few.
Here Monday shows a weak point. PDF export is barely usable. Mainly because it’s not possible to select/ajust a time frame to export (it’s all or nothing), and as soon as the timeline goes longer than 2 years, pdf export is not possible. Not to mention no page formating capabilities.
XLS export is… well… not even close.
Use cases where even a digital animal uses good old fashion paper:
Hard copy to be distributed/pinned on site
Hard copy instead of your expensive 50’’ retina screen in hard conditions such as dusty building sites.
A pdf proving the project planning at a given time (attached to the minutes, to cover legal risks, etc.).
A working base for drafting and adjusting things on it. We all like to doodle, because it’s more efficient.
