Retain original URL redirect after logging in

Monday seems to automatically log me out after not opening it for a while. When opening a Monday link from a colleague (or from a Monday notification email), I tend to get redirected to the login page instead. That’s fine, I can always log back in.

However, after logging in, I get redirected to the main dashboard instead of the original link that I clicked. I have to click the original link again to finally get to the view.

I don’t use Monday very often, but this issue is annoying as it happens pretty much every time open Monday, making me slightly hesitant to click on Monday links.

I think retaining the URL so that I get redirected to the original link after logging in would be a big quality-of-life improvement, and shouldn’t be too big of a change needed on Monday’s part.

Cheers,
Sage

I raised this through customer support and customer success, and, believe it or not, they don’t envision this changing soon. The issue is more than a year old!

What I experience is a bit different, as I’m redirected not to the main dashboard but to the last I have seen during the previous session in the current browser profile.

How come that showing something completely different than a user requests is treated in a way other than a high severity issue?

@sage and other who might be interested: after raising it with customer success, the issue got fixed, which I’m grateful to the Monday team for.
