Hello! I have a board called “Companies”, and a board called “Distributors” (for those companies) and a board called “Contacts” (containing contacts for both Companies and Distributors.)
On my Companies board, I indicate one or several Distributors, by using a connect boards column to pull in Contact names. However, Distributors often have several Contacts associated with them, for different brands (for example.)
I don’t want ALL of the Contacts associated with a given Distributor to show up in the mirror column, only the one we need for that particular Company.
Is there any way to - for example - create a dropdown in the mirror column so I can select the Contact I want for that particular instance?
Hi, Bruce - No, we’re on the Pro plan. I’m just using the mirror column to pull in the contacts. It would be good to know if there’s an automation I can create to deal with this!
Why not create an additional Connect and mirror column on your Companies board, that is linked to a Primary Contact Email column on your Distributor Board? (or visa versa). Have that as the non-automated selectable one. This is an extra step on the other board, but it is best practice so everyone knows who they should contact.
