I want to be able to selectively create a contact when i send an email to someone new. Right now, either all my new emails will result in contact creation or none. Is there an option that I send an email to someone new, but also bcc a specific email address, and then only for those cases, contacts are created?
I don’t believe so. That’s a great suggestion though! Maybe put it on the feature suggestion board? Feature requests - monday Community Forum

I found this advice online if it helps? Love you to let me know if it works!! Yes, monday.com does offer a way to selectively create contacts when sending emails—but it requires a specific setting adjustment in the Emails & Activities app.
Here’s how you can do it:
1. Use the BCC Method for Selective Logging
You can configure your Emails & Activities settings so that only emails BCC’d to your unique monday.com address are logged—and contacts are created only in those cases.
- Go to Emails & Activities settings.
- Under your connected email account, enable:
- “Only log outgoing emails that have your Emails & Activities email address BCCed”
- “Create a contact when you send an email to someone new” (optional toggle)
This way:
- If you don’t BCC the special address, no contact is created.
- If you do BCC it, the email is logged and a contact is created if the recipient is new

How to Find Your BCC Address
- Open the Emails & Activities app on any item.
- Click the gear icon (
) to open settings. - Your unique BCC address will be listed there.
Notes
- This setting applies per email connection, so you can configure it differently for different users or shared inboxes.
- You can also specify which board and email column new contacts should be created in
