Sort subitems by date on x-axis, instead of alphabetical order

In my main table, I save all my content and their statistics (interactions, reach, etc.) for each month. I start with making items for each day, and then I collect all the content (subitems) I posted that day in this item. When making a line chart from the subitems, there is no option to sort the subitems by date. I can only sort it in alphabetical order. It would be very helpful if I can sort all the subitems in my line chart by date.
