Yes agree this would be such a useable feature - we use sub items and record the timeline against these with a resource assigned with a value of time to complete the task. Currently without this showing on the timeline view these entries cannot be used in full.
the only workaround is to view this in a dashboard and select the rolled up summary timeline from each board but of course this does not provide the lower level detail at sub item level.

I just wanted to add to this thread, that having the timeline/Gantt for the subitems category would be such a great feature!
We want to try campaign management with personal tasks together on one board. To see the subtasks in timeline would give the better view on whoâs working on what and when.

We are currently having users test subitems in the timeline widget (not the view) in the dashboard in alpha. We had some setbacks when we initially tested it, so this is round 2

It would be a great feature to also have this available at the workload view within a board to pick up sub items, exactly for the reasons mentioned above.

Hey @PhilThompson, can definitely understand it would be useful in the workload view! While itâs not available in that view yet, it is available in the workload widget on a dashboard. Would that be helpful?

Hi there, Gantt view on sub items is currently available in the Gantt view widget in the dashboard. Sort of work around (you need to create a dashboard) but at least for now it is there. For me also it needs to be available in the standard Gantt view and able to put the view on subitems on and off.
