The same information on multiple boards

I have a timeline in an subitems that needs to come up in another board as an item, too.
As it is a subitem, I cannot set an automation, that when the timeline in the subitem gets changed, the timeline in the item changes as well.
Also, I cannot use a mirror column as I need to work with timeline on both boards (seeing the sub-item-dates in the calendar widget and using the item’s timeline in automations such as “14 days befor date arrives, send an e-mail”).
What I need is a connection between two values that makes sure, the values are always the same.

I received this today - you should try out the app.

Thanks for the idea, appreciate it!
Unfortunately, this is always kimited to one item and would mean that I have to create the automation for each item; having 100 items = needing the automation 100 times and always adding a new automation when adding a new item.
This is why the monday team suggested creating a feature request, as by now there is no automation for this case.

Have you tried creating that automation with the app? (it does read that way though that seems very silly to me - So I imagine you select ‘items’ on that board, not a specific item. Hope I’m correct ).

I have a ‘Speaker Board’ – basically, the mothership for all our speaker info. What I really wanted was for confirmed speakers to automatically appear as subitems in the right event board, without me having to manually copy everything. Turns out, a bunch of automations did the trick! If you’re dealing with speaker data across multiple events and want to know how I made this happen, let me know, and I’ll break down the automation flow.

Hi Leanne, Thank you. It sounds pretty similar to me, yes. Do they update automatically? Meaning that, if you changed a date/timeline on one board, the other date changes too?

Thank you fr your reply. I am not sure what you’re saying. When setting up the automation, I have to select the item the automation will apply to ([this item] in the template), otherwise it would not run. There is not “all items” option.

Have you tried the Subitem Automations App?
