Tool for calls to landline / cellular + logs for Monday

Hello everybody,

I tried to find something like that in the forum before, unfortunately I did not find anything, so here is my first entry (so please be patient with me).

I would like to use monday as a CRM tool and also integrate a kind of call tool. I know I can make calls e.g. via Skype from the telephone column. These are then not automatically logged in the updates (call duration, recording, busy, …) because there is no Skype integration, correct? Is there perhaps a work-around or other tool with which something like this could work?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @Joerg.Ziesak - Have you considered using Zoom for calls? It has a great integration with monday․com plus there are options beyond the built-in integration with Zapier as well.

Hi Joerg.Ziesak,

Yep, you’re thinking about it the right way. The phone column can kick off a Skype call, but Monday won’t automatically know what happened on that call, so things like duration, outcome, recording, etc., usually won’t appear in Updates.

What people normally do instead: make the call through a phone/VoIP tool that can pass call details back into Monday (either directly or via Zapier/Make). Then you can auto-drop an Update after each call with the basics.

Quick sanity check:
Step 1: Decide what you actually need logged (a simple note vs duration/outcome vs recording link).
Step 2: Check if the tool can send that info into Monday reliably.
Step 3: Test it end-to-end with a couple of real calls before rolling it out.

If you end up exploring alternatives, tools like CloudTalk, JustCall, Aircall (and similar) can pair really nicely with Monday, so the board stays the “single source of truth” and the call details land there automatically.
