Tracking equipment uses

Hi All. I’d like to track the use of equipment at my wood shop but I’ve hit a snag. I only have one work van but have it listed on multiple boards so when I make a dashboard with to see where it will be on any day it has as many vans as I have it booked for. Is there a way to make the platform know it’s only one van no mater how many boards it’s listed on? See pic below. Thanks all.

I would tackle this like so:

  • Create a ‘Resources’ board where you list all your vans and any other critical tools that you need to schedule. You could also track e.g. MOT and service dates here, if that’s useful

  • From the Resources board, create a Connect column (two-way) that links to all the boards where you want to schedule your van

  • In the individual scheduling boards, use the new Connect column that will have been created to schedule the van


  • Create a dashboard linked to your individual scheduling boards, and set the Resource Type to be the Link columns on each of the boards


  • The dashboard will then recognise your van as a single item rather than different lines
