Two connected boards, automatically update column with multiple values

Good morning! We have two connected boards: one has records with journalist names, publications and contact info and the second has records of articles written by journalists including publication info. We’re looking for a way to automatically update the connected column (let’s call it ‘Articles Written’) with ALL of the articles written by that journalist, each as individual linked values WITHOUT having to manual select. I’ve seen a number of forum posts on the topics of two-way mirroring and manually linking, but no definitive automated solution. Any thoughts are appreciated!

If it helps, it’s similar to “Link to Another Record” and “Allow Linking to Multiple Records” in Airtable, as in the attached screengrab where the events are automatically pulled to this summary table from the connected table where each event is its own record. Thanks for any thoughts.

Hey @marketyourcraft

We’ve developed an app called Connected Boards Automations. Which allows to run robust automations on connected boards column, here’s how it can be used in this case →

By using this you can define the criteria for connecting, as an example author name = author name and publication date = publication date and it will automatically form the connections. Hope I understand your goal correctly.

If not - Let me know and I’ll see what other solution might be relevant.

Thanks, I’ll check it out and let you know. Cheers!
