In our case, we have many active project boards, with new ones being added regularly. To have to go into each dashboard and choose new boards is time consuming and the potential for errors is obviously huge.
The workaround seems to be using an automation added to every board to create new items on another board that becomes the dashboard – instead of just using dashboards. This is really not ideal because it generates a huge number of duplicate, stranded, useless items that can’t alway contain every field of their original sub-item and parent item and don’t connect back live to the active items on the original boards like I’m sure is the intention with dashboards – and which would be so useful.
If I’m approaching this the wrong way, please let me know. Otherwise, it’s a feature request:
