Where do I find the URL of a board in the desktop version?

I work in the desktop version since and I can’t find the URL of a board.
Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place?
I sometimes like to drop the URL in a slack channel for people to see and easily discuss something, but I keep having to switch to the browser version, copy the url and close it again.

Hi binsento,

In the desktop version you can simply copy the URL in the browser (here as an example Google Chrome) and share it in the Slack Channel with your work colleagues.

I hope this solves your problem!

Hi Simon,

In the desktop version there is no address bar:

When I originally read your post, I assumed you were referring to the browser-based version.

However, I suspect you mean the desktop app. Is that right?

Yes, that is correct

The only way I’ve found is to go to the developer tools (CTRL+ALT+I) and then search (CTRL+F) for your monday url for example company.monday.com Then you can copy the URL. It’s working, but it’s not the easiest way.

Hi @binsento!

The easiest way to find a board URL is to open up one of the items on the board and select the three dot menu in the corner of the item view.
In this menu you’ll see an option to copy the item link:

If you then paste the item link, you can simply remove the /pulse section of the URL to get the board URL, like in the example below:

Alternatively, you may find it easier to revert to the web browser version when you need to retrieve a board ID

Best,

Dani
