We would love the ability to be able to format the text that sends in automations. For example, to be able to bold, underline, italicize or even change text size when we setup a “notify” automation.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could do basic formatting in a notification? Just like we can do in this editor. I would even be happy with basic mark up like various text and fields or etc. Or use html.
Description of the Need:
One of the main reasons our team prefers Monday.com over Excel is the ability to set up automated notifications . These notifications eliminate the need to chase down tasks in projects and remind team members to complete their assignments . However, for these notifications to be truly effective, they need to convey comprehensive information in a clear, well-organized format.
Currently, it’s challenging to include lists, tabs, or table-like layouts in notifications, which makes it difficult to clearly present key information from Monday boards in an easily readable way . Enabling richer text formatting options—such as bullet points, tab stops, and columns—would allow users to create notifications that are more informative and actionable .
Key Benefits:
Enhanced formatting would:
• Improve readability by enabling structured layouts for better information flow.
• Help users absorb complex information quickly by organizing it visually.
• Support Monday.com’s core function of boosting productivity by making notifications clear, useful, and user-friendly.
We’re confident this feature would elevate Monday.com as a productivity tool, especially for teams that rely on automated notifications to keep projects on track .
