When a subitem is created, I have the ability to create an item in another board and connect them. However, in the “Item” section of the automation, I want to set the name to include some existing fields/columns from the main item, and I’d like to include a unique ID from the subitem. I am able to include the Item ID from the main level, but you don’t give me the option to add the Item ID from the subitem. The reason I need this is to distinguish in the connected board that multiple items (generated from subitems) are different. Asking the user to ensure the names of the subitems are unique will only lead to errors.
As a workaround, I’ve tried formulas that equal the item ID, but formulas are not supported either.
My request: Allow more column types within the Item form fields from the Subitem Level.
Subitem ‘Item ID’ is my priority, but if it allowed formulas and other columns, including this one, that would be the best solution.
