You can set a default Group for the specific form and then create an automation recipe When Item is created and and only if Item is in Group X

If you want to use Status/ Dropdown columns as the flag for your automation, you can try out our monday app Easyfom.

One of our features is Item Default Values, that allows you to set values to the above columns for every item created with the form (when the column is not displayed on the form). Then you can set an automation recipe When Item is created and and only if Status /Dropdown is X.
