Allow filter by person on Board Updates Widget

Allow Filter by person or group for widgets. Filter by person is currently listed as an option for widgets, but according to my chat with customer support, the feature doesn’t actually work. Filter by person would allow a manager to create a widget that could show updates made by one person, or the group that they manager. There are many widgets that could be created where filter by group or person would help managers zero in on the information that they need.

I use the filter by person widget all the time. Are you seeing it not working?

Hello @mSchecher ,
If you’re open to apps, alternatively you can try the Board Email Reports app.
It has a set of reports for item updates:

You will see the following types of reports:

  • Updates created by a specific employee
  • Updates mentioning a specific employee
  • Updates containing attachments
  • Status updates
  • Last updates

The app consolidates item updates over a specific period and automatically delivers them via email with a roundup of updates and detailed xls-report as an attachment. This is how it looks:

You can test the app for free and find out if it works for you. We can make a custom automation rule, just tell your request to our team.

According to some folks at Monday, the feature does not apply to comments. You can filter by person for Tasks and other things. So I shouldn’t have said it doesn’t work. It just doesn’t work for the updates dashboard. I would like for it to someday work for comments, so my managers can see only comments from people they manager.

Does this have to be setup on every board?

Thanks
