Item Updates view in Dashboard

In a dashboard, it would be great to be able to view groups of updates for items in a dashboard that was filtered by item characteristics (Status, people, dates, numbers, etc.) and also by date range. The current widget is extremely limited.

Another consideration to solve this could be by creating a column that pulls the last comment, or being able to pin a comment that gets pulled through to the column. Overall, we need a way to group and filter item updates better.

Use Case: We have a master projects board where everything rolls up from other boards and we like to add comments about our status on projects against these items. If we could pull these updates out easier, we could have a dashboard that provides both the table view and update status comments all in one view without clicking into each item and trying to remember. We might want to group updates by the week the update occurred, or by their associated program or even the lead.
