I’m looking for a way to email a board and have it automatically assigned to specific people.
For instance, if I emailed an item to my board and the subject line of the email contained “Kelly” it would assign that item to Kelly. Or if the subject line contained “Ashley” it would assign that item to Ashley.
Is this possible?

You could definitely set this up but you will need to do it in two steps since there isn’t a straightforward automation recipe for this!
We don’t have a recipe like “When email is received (and it mentions __ person), assign to __” but you could use the two following recipes together to achieve this:
In the first recipe, in the “email” field, you will be able to select if the subject or body includes “Kelly”, then send it to the group.
I’d recommend making this group named “Kelly’s items” or something like that. Then, you can use the second recipe to assign Kelly to the item based on the item being created in that group.
