Automated email response from submitted form

I would like to use a Monday form to accecpt intnership applications. Since the applicants are not part of our company and not on the Monday.com account, I don’t have a way of providing them a generic confirmation email that their form was received. Having this ability would be a huge step in making the forms much more user friendly and eliminate the need for manual direct replies.

I’d love to have this option as well

Hey

Nachliel from Easyapps here

You can automate personalized responses with this automation:

and send it to the email that was provided in the response:

Regardless, if you are interested in creating styled forms that better match your brand and embed perfectly in you web page you can check out our monday.com app Easyform and our extensive documentation site.

You can set up a free demo here or contact us at support@easyappshq.com.

Here is an example of our form in action:

I hope this helps

I agree. This is an option available on Google Forms where it also gives the option to send the filled in responses to the person. This would save me having to Download a PDF and manually end it to the person.

I suggest the developers take a close look at Google Forms and catch up on the basics!

+1 here - would love this feature to send an email response of the form submission to the requestor!

Especially if you include the requestor email as Field/column in your form, it would make things A LOT EASIER than setting up individual email automations for form responses. I feel that should be the basic functionality of having the option to send exactly what’s been submitted and than it be optional to customize how the emailed response should look.

With a form that has a ton of board items, conditional grouping and categorized responses, creating that manual email automation in the board has been a nightmare where the receiving email is unformatted unless I type what each column entry is before clicking to include it in the email.

Maybe replace the PDF option with an Email integration option to the Form Response Viewer.

ALSO - with this auto form submission email, it would be great if it came from Monday.com instead of us adding our personal emails via the automation. With disseminating to various users to complete the form, perhaps you don’t want everyone emailing your personal email address back just because it was the Sender. They just need a confirmation of what they submitted. This is especially useful if they’re not monday.com members since you have the option to allow external users to complete the forms.

Hi, I was surprised to find this is not offered as part of basic functionality. All other forms I ever worked with have an option at the very bottom ‘Do you want a copy of your responses?’. If you answer ‘yes’ then the form offers you to provide an eMail, where a copy of your responses will be sent. Monday, please add this. Submitters need to have a record of what they submit. Thank you!

Hi @NGladun

You can try the app DocExport PDF Generator to create a PDF in your own design including information from a form response. If you combine it with the monday automation “When item created”, you can completely automate the process:

After a form submission, a PDF will be created, automatically attached to a file column and sent to the requester with your own email template.

Here’s a quick video tutorial of how to set it up. It’s for the use case ‘Event Ticket’, but it’s a similar use case with the same logic:
