Automated Task/Sub-task Series

Hello!

I am looking for some guidance regarding an automated push of Tasks and Sub-tasks.
I have a Real Estate Property board, once the property progresses through the process and reaches a certain stage I need for it to generate a set list of Tasks and Sub-tasks.

i.e.

1st Phase: Buyer Offer (Task) with Disclosure, Notify Listing Agent etc. (Sub Tasks)
2nd Phase: Under Contract (Task) with Collect earnest money, Send accepted contract to lender etc. (Sub Tasks)

I have found an automation for creation of of sub tasks once an item is created (When an item is created create a subitem) but is there an automation to create the initial task?

Obviously there could be several properties pushed into this series so I need it to maintain several at a time.

Hey @rooted!

If I am understanding your current setup correctly, can I ask if you could utilise the button column to trigger the next parent item/main task?

Alternatively, you could set up the 2 automation recipes to trigger an item creation based on a status change in the main item (triggered by the status set in all of the subitems):

I actually think I have been able to work through this with the status changes. I have had to use the Properties board to track the status and details of the properties and when those change I have an automation to create the tasks on a different board.
