Automatic conversion to subitem when item is created

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has figured away for items to be converted to subitems under certain logic.

This is one the example I would like to use it for…

When a project manager changes the status of a risk to reportable in their individual project board, an item is automatically created in my portfolio reporting board, I have it set so the project name becomes the item name and the risk text (which is the item in their board) is moved to the risk column. This is all great but I then have to manually convert the items to subitems under the original project line that already mirrors the project status etc from the individual board, I then have a ‘show summary on parent item’ to summarise the active risks associated with that project.

Is there an app or automation that could manage something like…

When item is created in ‘this group’ and the name matches an item in ‘this group’ covert the item to subitems using these columns…

Converting an item to a subitem using Automations would be a welcome feature!
