Automatically assign people after importing to-do list

Hello,
I am not a monday.com expert
We are using an excel to-do list during the meetings and import it to monday board daily. We have an action owner column in excel but I can only move it to monday board as text. Is there any way to convert the names (in text column) to people column?

Hi Ersin, I bulk assign, which is quick for item level as you can sort by name, but a nightmare for sub item level. Using a tool like UI Path may be your best bet if it is taking up a lot of time each week.

You could consider changing from an excel list to a monday doc to create your to-do list because one of the features of monday docs is you can create items and assign them right from the monday doc.
